Classic walking bird track — crows stride rather than hop.
2.5–3 in long. Three forward toes, one long rear toe. Alternating walking trail, not paired hops. Slight inward angle to the middle toe. Often around trash, roadkill or fields.
Everywhere — fields, forests, cities, dumps. Most of North America.
Diurnal
Anything — insects, grain, carrion, scraps
Crows recognize individual human faces and hold grudges for years.
Should I be concerned?
Harmless; they may dive at you near fledglings.
