Lynx canadensis
A snowshoe specialist with enormous furry feet that leave surprisingly vague prints.
3–4 in wide, often blurry. Four toes, no claws. Very large for the animal's weight — built for snow. Fuzzy outline from foot fur. Toe pads often indistinct.
Boreal forest and deep-snow country. Canada, Alaska, northern Rockies, northern New England.

Shy and no threat to people.
