🦎 Common Collared Lizard

Small sprawling prints on rock and sand — and sometimes only hind prints, since it runs upright.

Under 1.5 in. Five thin clawed toes. Long fourth toe on the hind foot. Tail drag comes and goes. Bipedal sprints leave hind prints only.

Rocky desert, limestone glades, boulder fields. Southwestern and south-central U.S. into Mexico.
