Big three-toed prints in wet fields, with the back toe barely showing.

4–5 in long. Three strong forward toes. Tiny raised hind toe rarely prints. Straight, purposeful walking line. Probe holes in soft mud.

Wet meadows, marsh, harvested grain fields. Central flyway, Florida, Cuba and Siberia.
