No feet, but a very readable track: an S-curve, a straight furrow or sidewinding J-marks.
Trail 0.5–4 in wide. Continuous wavy furrow in dust or sand. Sidewinders leave separate J-shaped bars. Belly scale texture in fine dust. Trail ends at a rock crevice or burrow.
Deserts, fields, forest edges, dunes. Worldwide except the far north.
Varies — many are nocturnal in hot weather

Sidewinder tracks show the snake's exact body length in every single J-mark.
Should I be concerned?
Never handle or crowd a snake you can't identify. Watch where you place hands and feet on rocks, and back away.
